Formatted JSON will appear here
Paste JSON and press Format — errors are pointed at line and column.
Paste JSON to format, validate or minify it locally in your browser.
How it works
For API responses, configs and exports.
One long line or an already formatted block — both are fine.
Format indents it for reading; Minify strips every space for the smallest possible payload.
If the JSON is broken, the line and column of the problem are shown instead of a result.

No. Parsing uses the browser’s own JSON engine, so the data never leaves the page — which matters when the payload contains tokens or customer data.
Double quotes around keys and strings, no trailing commas, no comments. That is the whole standard.
Most often comments or trailing commas: they are allowed in JavaScript and in some config formats, but not in JSON.
Anything your browser can hold in memory. Megabyte-sized payloads work; tens of megabytes will feel slow.
